Double flap valve
Driven by a pneumatic actuator, ensure that at least one layer of the valve plate is always in a closed position.
Equipped with an electric actuator (including reducer, crank, cam, and other components), supporting variable frequency speed control.
- Double flap valve with double valve plate
By alternating the plate, a continuous unloading cycle is formed, enhancing the ability to resist material jamming.
Why do you need to choose an airlock valve?
The airlock valve, through its innovative structural design, has achieved the dual goals of safety protection and energy conservation and emission reduction. Therefore, this kind of airlock valve has become a key device for balancing airflow and material transportation in modern industry.

The good locking wind effect enhances heat transfer efficiency, indirectly reducing coal consumption.

The application of wear-resistant materials and anti-jamming design reduces abnormal wear and extends the lifespan of machinery.

The innovative technology reduces dust emission concentration to less than 10 mg/m³, meeting ultra-low emission standards.

The good sealing effect effectively isolates the short-circuiting of the chute airflow, maintains stable system pressure, and prevents dust explosions caused by turbulent airflow.

The sealing performance maintains system stability, reducing maintenance frequency and costs. Structural optimization ensures continuous operation.

By using standardized flange sizes and pre-welded structures, direct connections with various dust collector hoppers and silos are supported, reducing on-site cutting and adjustment processes.

Custom flange interface sizes can be supported according to customer drawings, making it adaptable to non-standard piping layouts and solving installation challenges in space-constrained scenarios.

Standardized procedures enable direct valve feedback reading via HMI for real-time PID adjustments, with some newer models offering Bluetooth for mobile app debugging.

Intelligent control compatibility
The airlock valve generally supports 4-20mA and 0-10V analog signals, as well as Modbus communication protocol, allowing seamless integration with PLC/DCS systems for precise flow and pressure regulation. It also supports RS-485 ports or PLC signal triggering to initiate regeneration programs, enabling real-time interaction with online monitoring systems.
Airlocking and discharging simultaneously
The airlock valve achieves synchronous actions of locking air and unloading either mechanically or electrically. In the mechanical version, such as the weighted flap valve, dual valve plates alternate between opening and closing; the upper plate remains sealed while the lower plate unloads, creating a continuous locking of air. The electric version uses a star-shaped impeller that rotates, with the upper leaf isolating airflow while the lower leaf simultaneously unloads.
What equipment does the airlock valve apply to?

The airlock valve in a baghouse dust collector has two main jobs: it helps unload ash from the hopper and keeps the airflow separate. What’s more, it keeps dust emissions below 10 mg/Nm³.

In a vertical mill with a negative pressure system, the lock valve keeps the air locked in using a round pipe that seals itself or a weighted design. This helps minimize pressure fluctuations and vibrations that can happen due to air leaks inside the system.

The airlock valve uses parts like impellers, flaps, or conical plates to keep the air pressure balanced between the top and bottom of the storage bin. This helps stop outside air from interfering or causing dust leaks. What’s more, the airlock valvemakes sure materials are delivered evenly and accurately, keeping a steady connection with downstream equipment like conveyors and dust collectors.
Customized Design And Full-cycle service
Darko’s airlock valve provides a lot of customization options in three key areas: materials, structures, and smart control. You can choose from stainless steel, titanium alloy, or wear-resistant coatings for the valve body, which can handle temperatures from -196°C to 800°C and pressure ratings up to ANSI 600#. It can be designed with flaps, star-shaped rotors, or conical seals, and keeps air leakage below 0.5%.
Darko’s airlock valve offers a full lifecycle closed-loop service that covers everything from “customized design, installation and debugging, operation and maintenance, to recycling and remanufacturing.” We provide an extended warranty period of 24 months and create exclusive health records for the airlock valve. We also support remanufacturing of old valves, with an 80% reuse rate for core components.
Testimonials
Rotary airlock valves, also known as rotary airlocks or rotary valves, are key components in handling dry bulk materials. These valves control the flow of materials between chambers. They also stop air from leaking, which helps ensure safe and efficient operation.
They make it easy to move dry, free-flowing bulk solids—like powders, granules, pellets, nuggets, dust, and crystals—from a storage bin, storage silo, hopper, cyclone, or receiver through a pneumatic conveying system to the next step in the manufacturing process.
